Long arching shoots with lance-shaped, mid to grey-green leaves. Conical clusters of deep purple, fragrant flowers up to 30cm long from summer to autumn. Flowers attract butterflies and other beneficial insects. Prune hard in early spring to maintain a compact size and encourage good flowering.
